Melissa Miller

Lead Teacher: Ms. Melissa attended DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where she graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. She has spent 15 years in the classroom successfully educating young minds ranging in ages from preschool through 5th grade. Her teaching philosophy encourages students to learn through movement and integrates both Montessori and Traditional classroom techniques to do so. Teaching young minds is her true passion and she believes that providing a solid educational foundation for children is pertinent in their overall educational success.


Spanish Instructor & Classroom Assistant: Ms. Becca was born and raised in the PNW. Her two passions, dance and foreign language, intersect here at the Performing Arts Preschool. She uses songs, games and play to introduce Spanish to the preschoolers. Ms. Becca Attended the University of Washington where she received a BA in Spanish with a minor in dance. She has spent time teaching English as a foreign language abroad and has worked with students of all ages. She has also enjoyed teaching dance around the Seattle and Kitsap County area. She is on the faculty of the NSD dance program along with being a teacher at the Performing Arts Preschool. She is so excited to share her love for movement and language with your young student!

Cheyenne Martinek - Dance and Creative Movement Instructor

Dance, Music and Drama Instructor: Miss Cheyenne Martinek has been dancing for over 17 years, specializing in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, and Musical Theatre, with 9+ years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. She has danced with local dance companies such as Dance Ensemble Northwest and Northwest School of Dance’s own JPB Ballet Company. Miss Cheyenne has an Associate Degree and a Technical Degree in Early Childhood Education from Olympic College, an international Montessori teaching diploma from NAMC, and is certified in Anne Green Gilbert’s Creative Dance (Brain Dance) program.
